Technology Springwood Road State School strives to improve student learning outcomes by integrating Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) into the curriculum and bringing world-wide information resources into the classroom. To achieve this there is a comprehensive range of technology available for all children from Prep to Year 7 to access. This includes computers, which are networked and have access to the Internet (which is closely monitored by Education Queensland to filter unwanted and/or inappropriate sites), scanners, printers, digital cameras, data projector, head phones, CD ROMS, and Inquiry. All students and teachers have
their own password protected Log-on ID for accessing the Internet. The school also has a computer
laboratory where class teachers guide students through computer
skill enhancement sessions which are then reinforced on the
classroom computers. The laboratory is also available at lunchtime
to allow students to complete research projects or to use
interactive games. |
